We have been seen as one of the safest cities in Southern California, BUT, if you live here, you have a different viewpoint on our safety. Some people feel that crime is on the rise. Are break-ins up because more homes are empty? How are the empty house issues and economic issues affecting crime in our city, bad checks, fraud and so on. Mark Hershey from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department will be here to discuss with us.
With that in mind, what are these issues doing to our young people? Remember, they have to to have iPods and iPhones, new clothes, new vehicles. What are these kids faced with now? How are the adults coping? Local doctor, Dana Shutz-Kene is here to discuss these issues for the second half of the show.
