PARTY FOR GOOD GRADES, UNFAIR?

Don’t even think about having a celebration honoring high achievement. That may make other feel inadequate!

Students who made high marks got a fun party with pizza during class time. Those who didn’t make the grade, well… they could come by after school.

Is it wrong to reward hard work and good grades? Shouldn’t we incent our children to do their best?

Is it demeaning to those who don’t make the cut, even though they may have worked their butts off? Or is it just a taste of the real world… because in the real world, the best are rewarded. And if you don’t make it this time, that doesn’t mean you won’t make it next time. You just have to keep trying.

What do you think? Eliminate these types of events or encourage them?
