Premium cancer centers are being excluded for many insurance exchanges. Why? Too expensive to offer premier care. Insurance companies are in the business to make money. To keep costs lower, they have to make cuts somewhere. Too bad it’s now potentially affecting quality of care.
So who will be able to use these premier cancer centers if they aren’t included in the exchanges? You guessed it! Only those people who can afford to pay for care out of pocket. That’s those 1%-ers. So much for equity…
