SCHOOL LOCKDOWN

The parent was called because her Aspergers child was panicking.

She came to the elementary school immediately. The staff know her. They buzzed her in.

She didn’t sign the visitor book (part of the procedure) before going back to her son’s classroom to calm him down.

The principal called police, put the school on lockdown, notified parents of the “breech” and had the mother arrested in front of her panicking child.

Good call, keeping the kids safe? Or a failure to use good judgement and common sense?

Let me know what you think. You can read more about it here.
