Help me fill in the blank. College students need sex week because _____________.
Last week, Northwestern University hosted “Sex Week.” I’m still not sure why colleges need a sex week. I thought every week was sex week at college? At least, that’s what I’ve been told by many who’ve attended. (I can’t speak from personal experience on this one.)
As if, by the time our children have graduated from high school, they haven’t already been fully educated on sex. If it didn’t come through the school district, you can be sure they got it from MTV.
Northwestern is definitely pushing the envelope with seminars this year. Here’s an excerpt from CampusReform.org’s coverage of the story:
“Vulvas too confusing? Having trouble masturbating? Wanna please your consenting female-bodied friend?” asks the “Cum*tactics” event description
Sadly, there was no seminar on traditional marriage or abstinence. What fun would that be anyway, right?
Ahhh… remember the days when colleges and universities prepared students for careers? Oh, those were the days…
