Let me see if I’ve got this right… a Manhattan high school has a blended learning program where:
- Students get full credit for NOT attending class, they just have to watch video lessons and take tests online
- Some teachers have 475 students in a single class.
- The program is intended to help failing kids “earn” enough credits to graduate.
What could go wrong?
After the program was criticized in a journalistic expose’ the kids wrote in to defend the wonderful program… which backfired and actually proved the point of the criticism… these kids can’t write worth beans! It’s shameful that they will be graduating from high school and entering the workforce lacking such basic skills.
Take a look for yourself here.
