Farmers’ Almanac Beats Govt Climate Scientist Predictions

Go ahead and try to challenge a climate change believer to a logical debate about the science. It isn’t easy and there’s a lot of flawed logic. They’ll tell you that climate change (global warming, climate chaos, or whatever you want to call it) is scientifically proven. They have professional organizations of scientists who back it up. Even NASA apparently buys into it. And if you offer evidence refuting climate change, they’ll tell you that it isn’t from a credible source.

Yet, somehow, even with all that “science”, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center (CPC) predictions can’t come anywhere close to the supposedly hocus-pocus predictions of the 197-year old Farmers’ Almanac which are based on planetary alignment, lunar cycles, and such.

What’s truly interesting is the Farmers’ Almanac boasts an 80% prediction accuracy. The CPC didn’t see this winter’s deep freeze coming and certainly didn’t predict it to be as widespread as it was. The Farmers’ Almanac is printed each summer and covers the entire year, which means they are laying out their weather predictions in writing up as much as a FULL YEAR in advance!

Climate scientists can call the Farmers’ Almanac’s methods unscientific, but with an 80% accuracy and a nearly 200 year track record, maybe they ought to consider looking at their methods of prediction (it’s a closely guarded secret).

I grew up with the Old Farmers’ Almanac. I used to buy one every year and now follow them online. I can say with certainty that I’d trust their predictions before these government-sanctioned, climate change organizations. Just because some scientist says it’s true, doesn’t make it so. Too many scientific theories have been disproven, and at this point, climate change is still just a theory.
