Saturday was Flag Day. Did you celebrate? It’s not a big event in the US anymore. But is a good day to commemorate the American flag and recount it’s history and pass along the importance of the flag to your kids.
On Twitter, the Democrats posted a photo honoring the day with a young child standing behind the stars and stripes, though which stars and stripes it’s unclear. The photo launched a series of snarky comments about Dems not knowing what the flag really is. It certainly wasn’t an American flag. I’ve searched. The closest thing I can find is a red, white, and blue bunting, which definitely has an “Americana” feel to it, but it isn’t a flag.
