Patriot Alert: Gold Star Mom Makes Teddy Bears for Fallen Siblings

A heart-warming story coming out of Georgia where a Gold Star mother is making it her duty to help the other Gold Star families by providing teddy bears for the fallen soldiers’ siblings. She’s using the soldiers’ uniform to create one-of-a-kind reminders to help the families’ children heal during a difficult time.

Lisa Freeman became a Gold Star mother in 2009 when her son was killed in action in Afghanistan. She has established the Matthew Freeman Project to keep her son’s memory alive while serving others.

Way to go Lisa! Setting a good example as to how one person can make a difference in the lives of others. Want to volunteer your skills to Lisa’s organization? She’s looking for assistance. Time to get off the couch and do something!
