SexEd Photos You Can’t Unsee

School Superintendent, Dr. Kathy Granger said the curriculum is “factually and medically accurate.” Just because it’s “factually and medically accurate” doesn’t make it appropriate or necessary curriculum for middle schoolers.

Parents are outraged, not so much over the content as much as the photos that accompanied the content. The one causing the most controversy showed a picture of a man with blood on his face with a picture captioned: “A real man loves his woman every day of the month.” That photo went with the “menstruation” portion of the presentation. Let that one sink in as you imagine your 6th or 7th grade son and daughter processing that information.

Dr. Granger went on to say that their goal is to deliver instruction that “is age appropriate with an emphasis on abstinence as the best way to prevent pregnancy and HIV/Aids infection.” Abstinence? Really? With photos talking about how a “real man loves a woman every day of the month”? How about “a real man is willing to wait for the woman he loves”…

Parents! Keep an eye on your kids and the curriculum being taught. It’s a tough job, but you already signed up for it. Your kids are depending on you.
