39-year-old Megan Huntsman has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder, and held in Utah County Jail since April 13. Bail for Huntsman, who has not entered a plea, was set at $6 million.
Why is this woman even given a chance at a plea? What type of monster can kill their newborn child and then wrap them in plastic and pack them in boxes in her garage?
According to the police the murders took place from January 1, 1996 to December 30, 2006. The bodies were discovered by Darren West, Huntsman’s estranged husband. West arrived at the home to get some of his belongings and found the wrapped up bodies.
It’s a mystery how she kept this a secret for all these years. The police have said that Huntsman used methamphetamine heavily and that her drug addiction was a motive for her crimes.
Clearly this woman has some mental issues. What do you think a fair sentencing would be for this woman? I would have to say there is no harsh enough punishment for crimes of this degree.
