Republicans don’t want one talking head with minions blindly following

Finally… DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz might actually have a point, and a good one at that!

She said in a recent interview that House Speaker John Boehner has “lost control” of his caucus and has no ability to “shape the direction which direction they go in.”

What Debbie fails to understand is that… that’s who Republicans are. They are independent thinkers. That’s what Republican voters want. We don’t want one talking head with minions blindly following. We want independent representatives who actually “represent” their individual constituencies. And when they take that independent representation to Capital Hill, it may not always fit what other Republican representatives bring. That’s ok.

Boehner’s job is to list to all of them and work toward a common goal for all the constituents. Boehner wasn’t elected by the rest of the nation, and I for one, couldn’t care less what direction HE wants to go in. As a leader, I expect him to lead in a representative fashion, not “shape the direction.”

If the House Speaker is going to control the narrative, what’s the point of having the other Representatives anyway? That’s not how our government is intended to run. It may be how the Democrat Party runs… but that’s just one more reason why I’m not part of it.
