The Supreme Court is going to leave 9.6 million people without health care. Those who will keep their policies will have their premiums increase significantly due to the Federal subsidies.
According to The Huffington Post, the high court is scheduled to hear arguments this March in a lawsuit claiming President Barack Obama’s administration does not have the legal authority to give tax credit subsidies to millions of people who have insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
Where does this leave the people who will have this increase in premiums? They wont be able to afford to have insurance or even afford their co-payments which is kind of counter productive for the whole idea of Obamacare.
Obamacare was created to help those people who did not receive insurance through their employer to afford coverage, not to begin taking it away from those who already have insurance.
This change can leave millions of people with out medical care or medications to sustain their lives.
