2 new immigrants for every 1 new job

If there are 2 new immigrants for every 1 new job created, what happens to unemployed Americans? I’ll tell you. They continue to be unemployed! Given that information, why would Congress even THINK about increasing immigration levels? Because, you know, they’re talking about it.

“Government data collected in December 2014 show 18 million immigrants (legal and illegal) living in the United States who arrived in January 2000 or later. But only 9.3 million jobs were added over this time period. In addition, the native-born population 16 and older grew by 25.2 million. Because job growth has not come close to matching immigration and population growth, the share of Americans in the labor force has declined dramatically — a clear indication there is no labor shortage.”

Our elected representatives are supposed to represent OUR interests. Not the interests of people who WANT to come to America and take American jobs. It’d be one thing if there were more jobs than people. But there isn’t. The shortfall of jobs is HUGE!

Increasing immigration levels to the detriment of the American worker is irresponsible and contrary to the job they’ve been elected (hired) to do.

Time to contact your representatives and make sure they are putting citizens first before introducing potential new citizens into our workforce.
