Survey: Americans wildly overestimate percentage of population that’s gay

[Ed. – This should come as no big shock. Every time you turn around the gay agenda is front and center. LGBT advocates have done a fabulous job at marketing their cause, so much so, that you’d think it impacts a huge majority of people. We’re so heightened in sensitivity that it’s becoming commonplace in advertisements to feature gay families. Yet they are BY FAR the minority. Why are we bending over backwards to cater to so few who are so sensitive?]
According to CNSNews:

Americans believe that there are six times as many gays and lesbians in the population as there actually are, according to new data released by Gallup.

According to Gallup’s tracking surveys in the first four of 2015, 3.8 percent of the U.S. adult population says they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

However, in a survey conducted May 6-10, Gallup asked: “Just your best guess, what percent of Americans today would you say are gay or lesbian?”

On average, Americans said it was 23.2 percent.

Only 9 percent said they thought it was less than 5 percent—the most accurate possible answer in the Gallup survey. 11 percent said it was 5 percent to less than 10 percent. 14 percent said it was 10 percent to 15 percent. 7 percent said it was 15 percent to less than 20 percent. 20 percent said it was 20 percent to 25 percent. 33 percent said it was more than 25 percent. And 6 percent had no opinion.
