Sure… Hillary is just like you and me. Take for instance last week. She had to go to the mall and get her hair done… just like so many other Americans. She doesn’t have her own personal stylist on staff following her around like so many would assume. Nope. She’s just a regular gal who goes to the salon at the mall to get her haircut.
Forget the fact that in the process, they had to put Bergdorf Goodman and the salon on lockdown while she was there. Well, that’s not her fault. That’s Bill’s fault. I mean, after all, she is the former First Lady and there are REAL security concerns. We’ll give her a pass on the lockdown that inconvenienced an untold number of American shoppers. That’s just part of the deal when you travel with Secret Service.
What we won’t give her a pass on is the $600 haircut! $600 will provide haircuts for the average family FOR A YEAR! How does this make her more relate-able to average Americans? For that price, wouldn’t it have been better for her to simply hire a private stylist to come to her house and not impact us little people who might have been shopping that day? It wasn’t like she sat in the public area of the salon to mix and mingle with the commoners. She was whisked into a private area. So why not a private consultation at home?
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t blame her for not sitting out in the public area. There would have been a 1000 pictures of Hillary in various stages of hair cutting, dying, and styling. The beautification process is not always beautiful every step of the way… and there are WAY too many memes to be made from unflattering Hillary photos.
Hillary, I just think you should rethink the $600 haircut in a venue that impacts the little people. If you’re going to lay out the big bucks, you might as well go all in and do it in the privacy of your own home. I mean, who are you trying to kid? You’re loaded. Just go ahead and use your money and your #ClintonPrivilege. That’s what capitalism is all about. Embrace it. And stop trying to pretend like you’re “one of us.” You’re doing it wrong anyway. #Fail.
