Senator Chuck Schumer, the Democrat next in line to be Senate Minority Leader, has come out publicly against the Iran Deal. It shouldn’t be a big shock. Schumer is Jewish and the Iran Deal is BAD (really BAD) for Israel as well as the United States.
This has the Obama Administration spitting nails. How dare someone not tow the party line!
Personally, I’m sick and tired of Party politics. This is not the way our Founders intended for the country to be run.
Schumer was elected by a constituency of voters. He’s supposed to represent THEM… not Democrats in the Senate or every other U.S. Democrat. It’s not a national collective vote. Each representative votes based on their constituency. Good for him, sticking to his guns as to what’s best for his constituency.
As of now, Senator Schumer has if anything strengthened his opposition to the Obama-Iran nuclear deal, calling out the agreement as one that ensures the world’s number one state-sponsor of terrorism will in the near future develop a “robust nuclear program” that would endanger the entirety of the Middle East and thus, the world.
It’s not easy being the odd-man-out in the Obama Regime. Make no mistake… the bullying has begun, pressuring Schumer to fall back in line and vote with Obama. He hasn’t caved yet. You just never know what might happen next…
It should be noted the last high-ranking Democrat to publicly denounce an Obama White House foreign policy was New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez. Senator Menendez raised concerns over the Obama administration’s sudden acceptance of the communist regime of Cuba (and to a somewhat lesser extent the deal with Iran) and within weeks of voicing those concerns publicly, was indicted on federal corruption charges by the Obama Department of Justice. The case against the senator is still pending.
