Elite troops are just that… ELITE! There are higher requirements and tougher standards to pass in order to qualify. But apparently the Pentagon is more worried about demographics than maintaining those high standards saying there are too many white males. Not everyone wants to do the work to be one of the “elite.”
Not everyone who wants to do it can actually pass the rigorous standards to be “elite.”
Rather than looking at demographics on the whole of the military, wouldn’t a more accurate report be based on who the demographics of those who actually attempt to go through the elite program? There are plenty of white men who attempt it, but fail.
