Houston, we have a problem. So… the Federal judge ruled that the IRS must release information disclosing which taxpayer records the White House received from IRS, because it is a violation of the law (section 6103) for the IRS to have released them. The problem…
“the IRS refused to say whether it broke the law in violating section 6103 because answering the question would violate section 6103.”
Hmmm… now what? They won’t provide the records that they already illegally provided to the White House because they don’t want to break the law… AGAIN?!?! Hiding under the law that you just broke is not an option. It’ll be interesting to see how this one pans out. Any bets?
