President Obama was asked again recently if he ran for a 3rd term, could he win. He emphatically said he could. As much as I’d like to chalk that up to arrogance, it may just be the sad truth.
The GOP appears to be fractured. And until Republicans make a decision to get off the duff and come out to vote for WHOEVER the GOP nominee is, we will continue to have BO 3.0, 4.0, 5.0…
The Republican Party can have their factions. But once the primary is decided, EVERY SINGLE CONSERVATIVE has to cast their ballot for the nominee… whether they like them or not. No, that person may not be their first choice. But voting for them will be a vote against socialism, tyranny, and the end of our republic.
In the mean time, we can all breathe a sigh of relief (for now) that Mr. Obama is finally acknowledging at least ONE constitutional restraint… according to a speech he gave in July when previously asked about running for a 3rd term:
“I think if I ran, I could win. But I can’t. There’s a lot that I’d like to do to keep America moving. But the law is the law, and no person is above the law, not even the president.”
The magic words there are “I can’t“… Thank God he acknowledged that. Lord knows we don’t need to see what more he’d to to “keep America moving.” Our current downhill trajectory can’t keep going for much longer without complete destruction.
In the meantime, keep praying for the right person to take office and recovery to follow.
