How much does former President Barack Obama support the Iranian regime? So much that his administration warned it of an Israeli plot to assassinate one of its top generals three years ago, according to a stunning report out of Kuwait.
The Times of Israel explained that the Kuwaiti daily newspaper Al-Jarida ran a report this week citing an unnamed source who claimed that in 2014, Israel sought to assassinate Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force, a branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards that manages foreign military operations.
But that plan ultimately collapsed after the Obama administration tipped the Iranians off, according to the source.
“That was during the Obama administration, which, according to reports at the time, was so focused on securing the 2015 Iran nuclear accord that it chose to overlook and even obstruct efforts to clamp down on Iranian-backed terror organizations,” the Times itself noted.
This is a huge allegation, though it remains uncorroborated. Furthermore, the Times’ argues that Al-Jarida is “known to publish improbable-sounding stories about Israel.
Nevertheless, it fits Obama’s modus operandi to a T.
Just last month Politico ran a bombshell story about how the Obama administration effectively canceled an “ambitious” investigation into drug-running operations by Hezbollah, the Iranian-supported terrorist group, for fear of derailing his nuclear deal with Iran.
“(T)he administration’s willingness to envision a new role for Hezbollah in the Middle East, combined with its desire for a negotiated settlement to Iran’s nuclear program, translated into a reluctance to move aggressively against the top Hezbollah operatives,” Politico made clear.
A reluctance characterized by the Obama administration reportedly throwing “an increasingly insurmountable series of roadblocks in” the investigation team’s way.
If Obama was willing to bend over backwards for Hezbollah, a terror group responsible for the murder of countless American servicemen, why wouldn’t he do the same for Soleimani, who happens to be just as murderous?
