Remember when local school districts could decide what was best for their students? When local representatives were actually able to REPRESENT their local constituency? Not in California! Five Cali school districts tried to do just that in a valiant effort to ensure the safety of their students and staff. Enter Governor Jerry Brown and his merry band of Liberals in Sacramento who know best about how to make teachers and students sitting ducks for a would-be shooter.
Over the weekend, when no one would notice, California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill which outlaws teacher’s ability to shoot back if they come under fire at school. This is pure insanity: This is California… but I repeat myself.
Introduced by Democrat Assemblyman Kevin McCarty, Bill, AB 424 was rushed through on a Saturday after five California school districts decided to allow teachers or staff to have concealed carry permits. This of course would give them the ability and right to be armed on campus to defend themselves and students, should their be a Lakeland-style attack.
