There will be riots and vandalism if former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin is not convicted for the death of George Floyd, a popular Black Lives Matter activist told her followers on social media.
Maya Echols, who is a professional model signed with IMG Worldwide and BLM supporter in Houston, Texas, deleted a controversial video on TikTok, where she has more than 14.5 million likes.
“If George Floyd’s murderer is not sentenced, just know that all hell is gonna break loose,” Echols said in a now-deleted video. “Don’t be surprised when buildings are on fire. Just sayin’.”
With nearly half a million followers, Echols has several race-based posts.
In another video, she boasts about wearing her “Black Lives Matter” facemask to the grocery store in a “predominantly white” neighborhood.
