House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has made it clear that he will not stop at his investigation into the current first family, President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden – he intends to probe deeper.
During a recent interview on Fox News, Jordan has also set his sights on former President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton when discussing Special Counsel John Durham’s final report into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe.
He indicated that investigations conducted by his committee may soon expand to include them.
Jordan declared that the alleged targeting of former President Donald Trump gives many Americans a big reason to question future elections and government agencies, adding that the Durham report made clear people need to go to jail.
Maria Bartiromo asked him if he was going to investigate Hillary and Bill Clinton for their activities related to her campaign, their respective initiatives, and the Clinton Foundation.
His response? “We’re going to give that a good hard look… But nothing is off the table because it is critical the American people understand how their government, their agencies have been turned on them, the taxpayer, and we get all the facts out there.”
Durham noted in his report that while investigating Trump before the 2016 presidential election FBI agents used “uncorroborated intelligence” but they failed to maintain “strict fidelity with law” throughout its entire duration.
In sharp contrast however he said no similar efforts were undertaken with respect to Hillary or Bill Clinton yet they were provided defensive briefings about any possible probes into them – something which wasn’t done for then-President Donald Trump despite lack of evidence against him.
Jordan further reiterated this sentiment noting how wrong it was for one president (Trump) who did nothing wrong to be targeted by FBI agents while another (Clinton) who had numerous allegations against them received a free pass from authorities without even an investigation being conducted into any of those claims as per Durham’s findings.
In addition, Durham confirmed a Hillary Clinton connection to the bogus ‘Russia’ investigation of the 2016 Trump campaign, per the Daily Caller:
The report noted that the FBI received intelligence that Hillary Clinton’s campaign approved “a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services,” specifically one that involved “tying him to Putin and the Russians’ hacking of the Democratic National Committee” to distract the public from her email scandals.
It notes that President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and FBI Director James Comey were personally briefed on Clinton’s scheme, known as the “Clinton Plan” in the report, by CIA Director John Brennan, who recorded mentioning the plan in his handwritten notes.
The “Clinton Plan” was obtained by the FBI while it was relying on the “Steele Dossier,” a discredited report of lurid allegations of Trump’s personal sexual activity, which the FBI knew was being funded and promoted by the Clinton campaign, according to the report. Durham quotes information from a meeting between the Dossier’s author, former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, and FBI agents, as well as texts between FBI officials, to demonstrate that the agents knew the evidence was connected to Clinton.
According to Durham’s report, it was revealed that the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice swiftly initiated investigations into Trump, demonstrating a significant departure from their previous refusal to seriously examine allegations against Clinton’s campaign.
The FBI briefed Clinton staffers on the information of possible threats aimed at the her campaign but ignored intelligence it received from “a trusted foreign source pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to vilify Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin so as to divert attention from her own concerns relating to her use of a private email server,” Durham’s report said.
It remains unclear what further actions will be taken by House Judiciary Committee but given Jordan’s resolve, it appears more than likely these investigations will continue until all facts are brought forth before the public so American people can make up their own minds about various issues plaguing the US government.
