It appears that Kamala Harris may not be as popular with the public as she had anticipated.
Kamala Harris’ approval ratings are tanking, with recent reports indicating they are lower than expected. Many have expressed their discontent with her performance as Vice President and called out what some view as her lack of leadership.
This is a stark contrast to the optimism that surrounded Joe Biden’s choice of Kamala Harris for Vice President in 2020, which was seen as groundbreaking and progressive.
Republicans have taken particular issue with Harris’ handling of the immigration crisis, and it appears that her popularity may be dropping among both sides of the aisle.
Reports indicate that her approval ratings are lower than expected and many have voiced their criticism of her performance.
Linsey Davis of ABC News told the VP,
“There are reports that say that you have the lowest approval rating of any vice president,”
“Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings,” a flustered Kamala replies.
“How much of a role, if any, that you feel race and gender play in that?” Davis asks.
“I think the point that has to be made is that there are attempts to create distractions away from the accomplishments of our administration,” Kamala says.
