“I recall having discussions on December 22nd of 2022 about removing Gary Shapley’s investigative team from the investigation,” IRS official Michael Batdorf said.
“I mean, the decision to remove Mr. Shapley was made by Darrell and I in December, when we knew there was an issue — potential issue going forward. We just had not expressed that. It was not official as far as we hadn’t told Gary, because there was no — there’s no investigative steps to be taken,” Batdorf continued.
We have a 3rd IRS whistleblower.

“Batdorf’s testimony was the latest piece of evidence to suggest Weiss did not enjoy the unfettered authority to pursue Hunter Biden that Garland and others claimed he had,” the Washington Examiner reported.
“Still, Batdorf, who was above Shapley in the IRS chain of command, stopped short of attributing the DOJ’s actions to bias in favor of President Joe Biden,” it added.

“There were multiple steps that were slow-walked – were just completely not done – at the direction of the Department of Justice,” Shapley told CBS News chief investigative correspondent Jim Axelrod in May.
“When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw deviations from the normal process. It was way outside the norm of what I’ve experienced in the past,” he stated.
Why was Shapley taken off the case if he had not been removed due to misconduct? This decision raises further questions about the connection between Weiss and Hunter Biden, with many people arguing that Weiss is trying to protect the first son instead of conducting a thorough investigation.
Taking Shapley away seems to back up this notion, thus weakening any possible allegations against Hunter Biden that are being examined.
