UFC Champion Sean Strickland posted surveillance video of himself confronting a suspected car thief in Las Vegas, Nevada to his official Instagram account.
The footage showed the suspect stumbling into the home’s front driveway and getting down on one knee between two vehicles, followed by Strickland stepping out and pointing a gun at him.
In the third scene, Strickland was seen apparently striking the man and knocking him down as he tried to walk away. It is believed that the individual had assaulted a woman prior to encountering Strickland.
“Sit the f*** down!” he said to the man.
The 32-year-old fighter offered his conjecture regarding the motivation behind the man appearing in his driveway.
“Here’s what I know,” wrote Strickland on the post. “The guy was drunk stomping out a girl, a security guard seen it. He jumped in his car and drove off. Security followed him, hit a curb, completely shredded his tire. Drove on the rim for awhile then jumped out and tried to hide at my house.”
He stated that the man had been apprehended and shared an image of the rim of the car he purportedly drove when he escaped to Strickland’s area.
“Had to turn himself into police in the morning,” he added.
At UFC 293, Middleweight Champion Kelvin Strickland secured his title after defeating Israel Adesanya via decision in September.
He is slated to defend this title against challenger Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297, which will take place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto in January.
Strickland’s social media post of the event has gained considerable attention with over 164,000 likes and 1,800 comments on X.
It has already accumulated more than one million views.
