On Monday night, Joe and Jill Biden hosted a Hanukkah Holiday Reception in the East Room at the White House.
Biden spoke without his teleprompter and told Jewish guests that it had been 65 years since Hamas launched an unprovoked attack in Israel, resulting in the death of 1,400 Jews.
“It’s been 65 years since the deadliest day of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. 65 years,” Biden said.

On October 7, Hamas militants launched a surprise attack on Israel, catching the country off-guard during a major Jewish holiday.
The attack involved thousands of rockets and dozens of fighters infiltrating Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip.
Reports have revealed that Israeli civilians including children were captured and taken into the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, disturbing footage has emerged showing women being marched into vehicles, bloodied and bruised.

The Hamas militants held American hostages while Joe Biden was on vacation at his beach house.
The Biden Administration’s mismanagement of the hostage negotiations was brought to light by National Security spokesperson John Kirby, who stated that there was a “limited” amount of knowledge regarding the situation.
