Sunny Hostin asked Hillary Clinton, a two-time failed Democratic presidential contender, what she believed a second term of Donald Trump in the Oval Office would mean. Clinton responded that it would be “the end of our country as we know it.”
“I can’t even think that. Because I think it would be the end of our country as we know it,” Clinton began. “And I don’t say that lightly.”
The former first lady and secretary of state then claimed that she advocated for giving Trump a chance after losing to him in 2016.
“You know, I hated losing. And I especially hated losing to him because I had seen some of the warning signals during the campaign,” Clinton continued. “But I immediately said, ‘Look, we have to give him a chance, we’ve got to support, you know, the president we have,’ and I meant it.”
Clinton continued to refer to Trump as an “illegitimate president” for years after his election win.
“I tried really hard, but then literally from his inauguration on, it was nothing but, you know, accusing people of things, making up facts,” she added. “Everything that I worried about I saw unfolding, and so I think that he’d be even worse now because he was somewhat restrained — believe it or not — in the first term by people who he hired because he thought they would go along with him and they stood up to him.”
It is difficult to envision a President Hillary Clinton tolerating appointees who ended up not supporting her policies, something no other president in recent history has done.
She continued: “Now, he’s going to — if he were ever near the Oval Office again — find people who have no principles, no conscience, who are totally tied to his fortunes, literally, and therefore would do whatever he said. And so the wreckage is almost unimaginable.”
Clinton suggested a connection between Trump and Nazi dictator Adolph Hitler.
“You know, when I was secretary of state, I used to talk about one and done, and what I meant by that is that people would get legitimately elected, and then they would try to do away with elections, and do away with opposition, and so away with a free press, and you could see it in countries where…well, Hitler was duly elected,” Clinton said.
“That’s right,” one of the co-hosts responded off-camera.
Clinton stated that budding authoritarians would use tactics such as shutting down and jailing political opponents, similar to how Democratic governors closed their states during the pandemic and how the Biden administration has kept Jan. 6 Capitol protesters incarcerated for lengthy periods without trials.
“Trump is telling us what he intends to do,” Clinton said, adding: “Take him at his word.”
Clinton was severely criticized on social media.
President Trump saved us from a Hillary Clinton presidency and in doing so saved our country.
Biden then crashed our economy, abandoned our border, and started World War 3.
We need Trump in 2024 more than ever.

She's a straight-up liar. And those hags on The View didn't even challenge her.
She called him an "illegitimate president" for years after he kicked her ass in 2016, and so did the hags.
She never 'gave him a chance.'

Everything in the country and even the world was better under Donald Trump than it is under Joe Biden.
Thank God @HillaryClinton will never be president— One Bad Dude (@Dorf73256527) November 8, 2023
We don’t want a country “as we know it” in the condition that it is now. Thanks.

Yeah, corruption will need to take a rest.

True. Right now, I know our country to be corrupt, shady, and going downhill fast. Hopefully Trump can bring an end to that…as we know it.
