Deranged New York Woman Runs Over Police Officer to Teach Him a “Lesson”, Not Charged

A disturbed woman was captured on video intentionally running over an NYPD Officer in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon. Surprisingly, she is not facing murder charges, despite openly admitting that she wanted to teach him a lesson.

According to The New York Post, Sahara Dula, 24 years old, was driving her black Lexus in the wrong direction on the Upper East Side while under the influence of marijuana when she collided with the NYPD officer.

The incident occurred shortly after police responded to a separate robbery at a high-end clothing store in the same area.

The footage reveals Dula, who ironically holds a degree in criminal justice from college, driving her Lexus against traffic on Park Avenue near East 71st Street around 4:30 p.m., as reported by the Post.

The road had been closed for police investigation following the aforementioned robbery. One of the officers approaches Dula’s vehicle to redirect her into the correct lane.

However, instead of complying, Dula accelerates and directly hits the officer. He is thrown onto the hood of her Lexus before landing on the street below.

As their fellow officer writhes in pain on the ground, his comrades rush to his aid. The injured officer has suffered a broken leg and bruises across various parts of his body due to the incident, as reported by the Post.

Following her heinous attack, Dula proudly boasts about intentionally striking the cop because he refused to budge and needed to be taught a lesson.

I told the cop I wanted to go straight, and he wouldn’t move, so I hit him. I did it on purpose.

F**k these cops, he wouldn’t move! F**k these cops, it’s a lesson to him, and hopefully he doesn’t want to be a cop anymore.

According to Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Lucy Shephard, Dula acknowledged smoking weed.

Despite her dangerous behavior, Dula was not accused of attempted murder but faced charges of first-degree attempted assault, attempted aggravated assault on a police officer, second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs and reckless driving.

Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry expressed his confusion over why Dula was not charged with attempted murder in a statement.

We’re glad that this individual is being kept in jail, but we don’t understand why she isn’t being charged with attempted murder.
