The Department of Justice has recommended a sentence of six months in prison for Ray Epps, an insurrection leader involved in the events that occurred on January 6, 2021.
As one of the few exclusive participants to direct Trump supporters into the US Capitol, Mr. Epps was offered a plea deal due to his cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

On January 11, 2022, then Representative Adam Kinzinger defended likely FBI cut-out Ray Epps, the one person caught on video directing Trump supporters to break into the US Capitol.
Kinzinger claimed that Epps had done nothing wrong.
4) He didn’t enter the Capitol on Jan 6, and was removed from the most wanted list because apparently he broke no laws. I’m pretty sure the FBI wouldn’t be dumb enough to put their own agent on a wanted list. Ray Epps has cooperated with the Jan 6 committee and we thank him

At his testimony before the January 6 Committee on January 21, 2022, Ray Epps emphatically declared, “I do not break the law; it is simply not in my character.”

The testimony of Ray Epps to the January 6 Committee raises the question of whether he was honest in his statements.
It is necessary to investigate further if Ray Epps, a potential federal agent, committed any criminal activity on January 5th and 6th, 2021.
There is evidence that suggests he did.
In the damning video, Ray Epps is seen lifting a large sign in support of Donald Trump with several other supporters.
It is believed that he was leading the charge as they pushed past not one but two sets of security barriers at the US Capitol on that fateful day.
Epps can be observed near the corner of the sign, and he remains with the crowd until they reach their destination, where police are standing outside the Capitol building.
At this point, Ray Epps stands to direct them further.

The protesters marched towards the police stationed outside of the United States Capitol.
Ray Epps was present throughout the whole event. After the sign was unveiled, Ray Epps emerged and took a stance while directing the audience.
