Poll: Half of Americans See Mass Migration as ‘Critical Threat’

Half of the American population perceives large numbers of immigrants and refugees as a significant threat to the nation, as per a survey conducted for the pro-migration Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

The report, released on August 2, revealed that 83% of GOP voters and 45% of swing voters consider migration to be a critical threat.

However, the report failed to acknowledge the additional percentage of Americans who view immigration as an important but not critical threat, skewing the results.

Additionally, it noted that 61% of Republicans and 37% of all respondents believe that immigrants from other cultures have a mainly negative impact on American society.

Furthermore, 55% of Americans expressed a desire for a border wall according to the report.

“Half of all Republicans also want to decrease legal immigration,” alongside 31 percent of the independents, the report said.

Those numbers may rise further because roughly 40 percent of respondents are largely ignoring the issue of migration. That large passivity is encouraged by the many GOP strategists and legislators who downplay the economic impact of the policy, usually under pressure from donors. The report noted:

The survey skewed the results by using aggressive language — “detain millions of undocumented immigrants in mass detention camps” — to magnify opposition to the repatriation of migrants back to their homes:

A majority of Americans (65%), along with eight in 10 Democrats (80%) and two-thirds of Independents (68%) oppose doing so. By contrast, a majority of Republicans (57%) favor detaining millions of undocumented immigrants in camps (41% oppose).

The survey, conducted in July and sponsored by investor Lester Crown, the Korea Foundation, and the United States-Japan Foundation, did not provide accurate information to the respondents.

This is despite the establishment media concealing the extent of migration into American society.

The survey involved 2,106 adults who were not necessarily citizens or voters. It revealed that investors generally prefer to keep illegal immigrants in the United States as consumers, renters, and workers.

This is seen as a more convenient and secure option for investors rather than being pressured to invest in the developing countries from which migrants are coming.

Additionally, the report emphasized that “Republican views of immigrants and immigration policy largely diverge from overall American attitudes.” It also highlighted that compared to Democrats, GOP voters show greater sympathy towards fellow Americans who are negatively impacted by government-sponsored migration.

In 2010, Americans were divided over whether illegal immigrants took jobs from Americans who needed them (49%) or took jobs no one wanted (48%). Today, a majority of Americans say they mostly take jobs nobody wants (69%, 29% take jobs from Americans who need them).

Majorities of Democrats (87%) and Independents (70%) agree with this [jobs no one wanted] view, as do half of Republicans (48%, [while] 49% [of Republicans say migrants] take jobs from Americans who need them).

The Chicago survey aligns with other polls indicating increased public concern and opposition to the government-driven influx of millions of legal, illegal, and quasi-legal migrants.

A Harvard-Harris poll conducted in July revealed that a majority of Americans support former President Donald Trump’s pledge to “execute the largest deportation operation in American history.”

The promise garnered 62 percent support, with 39 percent strongly backing it and 23 percent somewhat supporting it. Additionally, 17 percent somewhat opposed it, while 20 percent strongly opposed it.

According to Gallup’s report on July 12, 55 percent of Americans are in favor of reducing migration despite the prevailing narrative that the United States is a “nation of immigrants.”

The poll from June 3-23 indicated that 55 percent of Americans desire migration reductions, while only 16 percent desire an increase.

Since at least 1990, the federal government has quietly implemented a policy known as Extraction Migration to fuel the consumer economy after aiding investors in relocating the high-wage manufacturing sector to lower-wage countries.

This migration policy drains significant human resources from impoverished nations. The influx of additional workers, university graduates, consumers, and renters leads to an increase in stock values by suppressing American wages, providing subsidies to low-productivity businesses, inflating rents, and driving up real estate prices.

This largely unacknowledged economic policy has disrupted the economic and civic feedback mechanisms crucial for a stable economy and democracy.

It has displaced many native-born Americans from various business sectors, decreased American productivity and political influence, hindered technological innovation, reduced trade activity, fractured civic unity, and incentivized government officials and progressives to overlook the escalating mortality rate among marginalized Americans.

Donald Trump’s campaign team acknowledges the economic repercussions of migration.

According to a statement from Trump’s campaign in May, Biden’s unpopular policy entails “flooding America’s labor pool with millions of low-wage illegal migrants who are directly attacking the wages and opportunities of hard-working Americans.”

Moreover, this covert economic policy diverts jobs and wealth away from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors and government agencies with an influx of low-wage workers, high-density renters, and government-assisted consumers. Similar policies have caused harm to citizens and economies in Canada and the United Kingdom.

This policy resembling colonialism has also inflicted harm on smaller nations and has resulted in hundreds of American fatalities as well as thousands of migrant deaths—many occurring along the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through Panama’s Darien Gap.
