A recent poll indicated that Vice President Kamala Harris was leading former President Donald Trump, but the survey also revealed that Harris was behind on important issues such as crime.
Additionally, her selection of a running mate is unlikely to boost her standing, as one Republican recently highlighted his release of a child murderer.
This criticism was voiced by former prosecutor Joe Teirab during an interview with Fox Business on Sunday, as reported by Breitbart.
“I think Tim Walz has to answer for this: there’s a man in Minnesota, a criminal named Myon Burrell, and some people might know his story because Myon Burrell’s a Bloods criminal street gang member,” Teirab said.
“I charged the Bloods in a more recent case,” recalled the prosecutor, who is the GOP’s nominee in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District.
“Myon Burrell shot and killed an 11-year-old girl who was doing her homework on her kitchen table in Minneapolis,” Teirab explained.
“He was convicted and he did almost 20 years in prison. And, after — he maintained his innocence, which he definitely wasn’t. Guess who commuted his sentence? Tim Walz commuted his sentence,” Teirab noted.
The Republican candidate then claimed that Burrell had been arrested for drug and firearm possession and was bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a group supported by Harris.
Teirab also accused the governor of failing to take action as left-wing rioters looted Minneapolis in the summer of 2020. While Walz used COVID as a reason for lockdowns, he did little to quell the unrest, resulting in multiple casualties.
One man was burned alive after Montez Terrial Lee Jr. set fire to a pawnshop on May 28. Rather than condemning the events, Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz seemed to revel in the destruction during a peculiar television interview.
Here is a bizarre clip from an interview with Gwen Walz stating that she left her windows open during the Minneapolis Riots so she could smell the burning tires.

“I could smell the burning tires…I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening,” Mrs. Walz said.
