During his speech at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday evening, former President Barack Obama made a crass joke about former President Donald Trump’s genitals.
The joke was anything but subtle.
“And as we gather here tonight, the people who will decide this election are asking a very simple question,” Obama told the crowd. “Who will fight for me? Who’s thinking about my future? About my children’s future? About our future together?”
Obama proceeded to launch an attack on the Republican nominee for president.
“One thing is for certain,” Obama added. “Donald Trump is not losing sleep over that question. Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago. It has been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that’s actually been getting worse now that he’s afraid of losing to Kamala. There’s the childish nicknames, the crazy conspiracy theories, this weird obsession with crowd sizes.”
While discussing the size of the crowd, he gestured in a way that suggested he was also referring to the size of a certain male body part.

The tasteless joke elicited a burst of laughter from the progressive audience.

“It just goes on and on and on!” Obama continued.
“The other day, I heard someone compare Trump to the neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day. Now, from a neighbor that’s exhausting. From a president, it’s just dangerous.”
There’s a time and place for this type of joke…the public stage at the DNC is not one of them.
