New Details Emerge on Secret Service’s Cocaine Investigation

Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino has raised significant concerns regarding the ongoing controversy known as “cocaine-gate,” revealing new details about a bag of cocaine found in the West Wing of the White House shortly after Hunter Biden’s visit in early July 2023.

The discovery of the bag has ignited questions about the integrity of the Secret Service investigation and the potential implications of high-level political connections.

According to Bongino, the investigation was closed without any interviews being conducted, leaving the question of who was responsible for leaving the cocaine in a so-called “blind spot” of surveillance cameras unanswered.

Initial reports from the White House indicated that no fingerprints, DNA samples, or leads were available. However, the narrative began to shift when it was disclosed that there had indeed been a partial DNA hit connected to the cocaine.

Sources familiar with the investigation noted that the Secret Service had run the DNA evidence through national criminal databases and received a “partial hit.”

In forensic terminology, a “partial hit” usually implies that the DNA matched a relative within a limited pool of individuals. This revelation raised eyebrows and pointed toward possible efforts by the Secret Service to downplay or obscure findings related to the case.

Compounding the scandal, Bongino claimed that promotions are being offered within the Secret Service, potentially as incentives for individuals to remain silent about what they know regarding the investigation and its handling.

“My source is pretty clear that these promotions are likely tied to what they know about the cocaine scandal at the White House,” Bongino stated.

He has been in contact with numerous former colleagues who have expressed frustration and anger over what they perceive as a superficial investigation that fails to address the underlying issues.

Bongino emphasized the limitations of access to the West Wing, noting that only about 200 individuals have the clearance to be in that area.

He pointed out the impracticality of losing evidence in such a controlled environment, highlighting that the bag containing the cocaine was plastic and non-porous, making it relatively easy to collect latent fingerprints.

“They’ve got to know who did it. The question is who’s pressuring them to not find out who did it? It’s gotta be coming from this White House,” he asserted. “This is terrible. Don’t destroy this agency like they did the FBI. It’s really unbecoming.”

In a related development, Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN) criticized the handling of the evidence, claiming that all DNA material related to the cocaine was destroyed.

“Apparently, when they went in and got the bag, they treated it as a biological entity and for some reason destroyed it. To me, it just seems like they would go in there with hazmat suits, put it in a protective bag, and take it to a lab for analysis,” Burchett stated. “But instead, they apparently blew the thing up. It’s just a complete joke and a nightmare.”

The implications of the investigation extend beyond the cocaine itself. The Secret Service’s credibility is at stake, especially in light of the agency’s history of protecting the highest offices in the country.

If it is indeed true that promotions are being handed out as a means to silence individuals who possess crucial knowledge about the investigation, the repercussions could be severe. Many former agents are reportedly furious, feeling that the agency they once served is being undermined.

As this scandal continues to unfold, the need for transparency and accountability grows more urgent.

Bongino’s revelations have raised serious questions about the investigation’s integrity and whether political influence is interfering with the Secret Service’s mandate.

Given the high-profile nature of the individuals involved, including Hunter Biden, the situation demands scrutiny from both the public and lawmakers.

The public’s trust in the Secret Service, as well as the broader political landscape, could be jeopardized if the truth behind this scandal remains obscured.

As the investigation develops, it will be critical for officials to uphold the values of transparency and integrity, ensuring that such a significant incident does not simply fade into the background of political maneuvering.
