Musk Unveils ‘Magic Money Computers’ Enabling Government to Create Funds ‘Out of Thin Air’

Elon Musk has raised quite a ruckus by revealing some startling information about how the federal government manages taxpayer money. During a chat with Senator Ted Cruz on his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” Musk mentioned that the government has these so-called “magic money computers” that seem to just conjure money out of nowhere. This revelation came out in a two-part series recorded at the White House, and it’s certainly got folks talking.

Musk shared with Cruz that the Department of Government Efficiency has uncovered even more waste in the federal government than he initially thought. He mentioned that every government department—without exception so far—has an excessive number of software licenses and media subscriptions. In many cases, there are more licenses and subscriptions than there are people working in those departments.

To make matters worse, Musk discovered instances where there were software licenses or media subscriptions that no one had ever used. “No one had ever logged in even once,” he said. When Cruz asked whether this waste was due to incompetence or fraud, Musk gave his take, estimating it’s about 80% waste and 20% fraud, though there are some gray areas.

Musk pointed out that the government often sends money to nonprofit organizations with very little oversight. These so-called charities end up paying their leaders “extremely lavish, insane salaries,” and they charge all sorts of expenses to the nonprofit, like jets and homes. Cruz chimed in, saying they “live like kings and queens on the taxpayer dime,” to which Musk agreed wholeheartedly.

The conversation then turned to the mysterious “magic money computers.” Cruz admitted to Musk that he had never heard of such a thing until Musk brought it up. Musk explained that folks might assume government computers are all interconnected, keeping track of funds accurately and coherently, but that’s not the case.

Cruz assumed, like many would, that the numbers provided to senators are the real deal. However, Musk clarified that the numbers aren’t entirely wrong, but they’re likely off by about 5% or 10% in some instances. Musk described a magic money computer as any computer that can just create money out of thin air.

When Cruz asked how these computers operate, Musk simply stated, “It just issues payments.” Most of these computers, according to Musk, are at the Treasury Department, but similar ones reportedly exist at the Department of Health and Human Services, the State Department, and the Department of Defense.

Musk noted that they have identified 14 of these magic money computers so far, which he claims can send money out of thin air. He emphasized that to tackle the waste and fraud in the federal government, one must “look at the computers and see what’s going on.”

Musk insisted that reconciling the computer databases is crucial to recognizing waste and fraud. This conversation has certainly put a spotlight on the issue, sparking discussions across various platforms about government spending and accountability.

The insights shared by Musk have drawn attention from many conservative commentators who echo concerns about government inefficiency and lack of oversight. The idea of these “magic money computers” has added fuel to the ongoing debate about how taxpayer money is managed.

Critics of big government have long argued that there are systemic inefficiencies and wasteful practices that need to be addressed. Musk’s revelations have given them more ammunition in their call for greater transparency and accountability in federal spending.

Some conservative news outlets have highlighted this issue, pointing out that taxpayers deserve to know where their money is going. They argue that it’s high time for a thorough audit of government spending practices to root out waste and fraud.

The conversation between Musk and Cruz serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance when it comes to government spending. Taxpayers expect their hard-earned money to be used responsibly and efficiently, not wasted on unnecessary expenses.

As discussions continue, there is a growing demand for reforms to ensure that taxpayer money is used wisely. Musk’s insights have shed light on a problem that many believe has been ignored for far too long.

The call for increased oversight and accountability resonates with those who believe in limited government and fiscal responsibility. It’s a timely conversation that many hope will lead to meaningful changes in how government funds are managed.

With Musk’s high-profile involvement, the issue has gained notable attention, prompting calls for action from various quarters. As more people become aware of the situation, the push for transparency and reform is likely to intensify.

In the wake of these revelations, there’s a heightened sense of urgency to address the inefficiencies and waste within the federal government. It’s a topic that resonates with many who prioritize responsible governance and fiscal prudence.

The discussion has also sparked interest in exploring technological solutions to improve government efficiency. As technology evolves, there may be opportunities to leverage it for better oversight and management of taxpayer funds.

Ultimately, the insights shared by Musk and the subsequent discussions highlight the need for ongoing vigilance and reform in government spending practices. It’s a conversation that’s likely to continue as more people demand accountability and transparency from their leaders.
