VP Vance Rallies Marines While Old Liberals Jeer Trump
Vice President J.D. Vance spent Saturday at Camp Pendleton in California, rallying with Marines as protesters gathered elsewhere to denounce President Donald Trump. The scene split the usual political script: one side focused on service and national pride, the other on noisy demonstrations in the streets.
Vance, the youngest vice president in recent memory, has a story that plays well to conservatives: raised in Appalachia, he joined the Marines, earned a college degree, and graduated from Yale Law School where he met his wife. After his military service and legal training, he ran for Congress and won, building a profile as a polished, tough-minded voice for his party. His presence at a Marine training exercise felt deliberate and symbolic to many supporters.
Across the country, the “No Kings” rallies drew crowds that aimed their anger at Trump and his backers instead of engaging in calm debate. In several places the tone turned threatening, and organizers leaned into dramatic, violent rhetoric to make their point.
Chuck Schumer and the Democrats may have shut down the government but President Trump is going above and beyond to ensure our brave Marines get the paychecks they deserve.

Protest signs included phrases like “Kings Get Guillotines” and other slogans that seemed to cheer on violence against political opponents, while Connecticut lawmaker Saud Anwar held a sign saying, “Cholesterol, do your job!” Such imagery and language alarmed many Americans who prefer political disagreement without bloodlust.
Batya Ungar-Sargon called out the Left on her show on NewsNation.
The “No Kings” rally isn’t protesting Trump but rather the agenda the majority of America voted for. The Left isn’t protesting a king but their fellow Americans. They aren’t standing up for democracy — they are protesting against it.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom moved to shut down the I-5 freeway during a Marine training exercise, saying the activity posed a public safety risk. Critics pushed back, saying the closure was political theater that preemptively punished a lawful military event and disrupted civilians for reasons that didn’t add up.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
Vance’s choice to stand with Marines instead of joining metropolitan protests was a clear signal to his base: prioritize service, duty, and institutions that protect the nation. While the left’s rallies grabbed headlines with angry slogans, conservatives saw a contrast between decorum and chaos, and voters noticed who looked presidential and who looked performative.
