Conservative Volunteers Use Decoys To Aid ICE Raids

Federal agents face coordinated disruption from well-funded activists, and a group on the Right claims to have used decoy tactics to keep anti-ICE protesters busy while real operations proceeded.

The Left has built a nationwide, coordinated network of activists who make confronting Immigration and Customs Enforcement a core activity. They show up where federal agents work and try to interfere with enforcement that targets violent criminal illegal immigrants.

Minneapolis has become a recent flashpoint after federal sweeps arrested dozens of suspects accused of serious crimes from robbery to sexual assault and homicide. Many of those arrested carried long-standing deportation orders, and the city’s unrest highlights the friction between federal priorities and local leaders who appear unwilling to cooperate.

Local officials, including Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz, have faced scrutiny and legal pressure tied to obstruction allegations; subpoenas connected to a Justice Department inquiry have been reported in relation to whether officials conspired to block federal enforcement. That legal backdrop feeds the political debate over who gets to set local public-safety priorities and under what authority.

On the Right, activists and former officials have moved from criticism to direct action, and one group publicly described a tactic that claims to occupy anti-ICE protesters so actual operations can proceed. The idea is to get protesters chasing fake targets while enforcement teams do their work unimpeded.

The group’s public post was blunt and provocative, and it reads as a mix of theater and a warning to would-be obstructors. It frames the effort as a network of veterans, off-duty officers and private citizens tired of seeing activists interfere with law enforcement.

We’re not saying we had teams comprised of HUNDREDS of off-duty cops and veterans volunteer to run decoy operations so far-left activists THOUGHT they were conducting ICE raids.

We’re not saying they were in fact they were just driving around in what appeared to be unmarked vehicles with tinted windows… drinking coffee and listening to Guns and Roses…. being chased down and surrounded by protestors.

What we ARE saying is that if it DID happen…. it sure worked remarkably well in NINE DIFFERENT STATES, allowing ACTUAL raids to successfully take place unimpeded, helping support the capture of HUNDREDS of criminals.

Combat veterans, off-duty officers and patriotic Americans have had enough of the radical left… and are being activated across the country to back our #lawenforcement.  And they’re smarter…more skilled… more driven… better trained than the left … and actually enjoy sitting in a deer stand for days on end just waiting.

@DHSgov @ICEgov we’ve got you.

Reading that, a Republican takeaway is straightforward: if local governments won’t back federal enforcement, patriotic Americans will find ways to support the men and women who keep dangerous people off the streets. The message appeals to veterans, law enforcement and others who see the streets as a matter of public safety, not political theater.

Of course, the post toes a line between boast and bluff, and it’s fair to ask how much of the story is real and how much is meant to rile the opposition. Still, the concept itself won praise among supporters who argued distraction tactics could be a lawful way to ensure federal work continues without violent interference.

Mocking protesters who chase phantom vehicles is politically useful for critics of left-wing tactics, because it underscores the mismatch between performative outrage and the actual job of law enforcement. If protest energy is being spent on wild goose chases, the community pays the price while criminal suspects remain at large.

That raises the practical question of accountability: when activists obstruct federal agents, who steps in to restore order and ensure dangerous suspects are taken off the streets? The answer matters for voters choosing leaders who will prioritize safety over optics and will back federal officers doing a tough, necessary job.
