Bunnie Xo is answering critics after a video of her at a Nashville-area Waffle House with 24-year-old “Calabasas Confidential” star Dylan Wolf drew backlash over their age difference.
Bunnie, 46, posted the video with the caption, “POV: It’s his first time at Waffle House.” The clip quickly drew comments questioning the age gap between the two.
“And I also wanted to say, of course it’s his first time at Waffle House. He just got his drivers license and is allowed to stay out till 11 o’clock finally!” one commenter wrote. Another said, “i’m sure it’s first time doing alot of things since hes a baby in a adult world,” while a third wrote, “Don’t know how people can be together for 10+ years but can move on right away like it meant nothing.”
Bunnie responded directly in the comments. “Hey guys, I’m having fun & he gave me my smile back,” she wrote. “Ya girl is living her best life – let meeeee k thanks byeeeee.” She also said in a reply to another comment that the outing wasn’t a date.
Bunnie and Wolf were first seen together in July, when video obtained by TMZ showed her kissing him at a bar in Nashville owned by Jelly Roll, her ex-husband.
On a recent episode of “Open Book with Jenna Bush Hager,” Bunnie, host of the “Dumb Blonde” podcast, said not every man photographed with her is a romantic partner. “I’m like, ‘Can your girl have some fun?’ I’m going, ‘You guys are going to see me with multiple men, maybe even a couple women,'” she said. “You never know. Maybe even a freaking camel.”
She also pushed back on assumptions about her life since the divorce. “I mean, it’s been — you know, it’s so funny — people probably think I’m out here doing, like, ho activities, and I’m not,” she said. “I swear to God. Literally, we’re at home playing — what’s it called? — Cards Against Humanity. … We’re swimming, we’re working out. You guys see only what I put on social media.”
Bunnie described this period as a new chapter centered on putting herself first. “It’s just pouring back into yourself,” she said. “It’s being selfish. It’s OK to be selfish. We as women feel like we need permission to be selfish, and we don’t. Tell your kids to go to bed and eat the freaking brownies without them, you know? Even if it’s something as small as that, we deserve to be selfish.”
“We deserve to have our own time, and we deserve to pour into each other,” she added. “I’m having so much fun.”
Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo on May 18, listing May 9 as the date of separation. The two met in 2015 at a Las Vegas concert and eloped the following year. Their marriage, which lasted nearly a decade, was finalized as a divorce in July. Bunnie later used her podcast to share details of the split before deleting the episode from YouTube.
