Production on the third season of Paramount+’s oil-industry drama “Landman” is ramping up in the Fort Worth area, with casting calls for extras scheduled for September 24 and 25, according to Decider.
The Taylor Sheridan series, which stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, was renewed for a third season in December after its second season proved to be a streaming success. The Season 2 finale aired January 18, 2026.
Michael Kelly, known for his roles in “Lioness” and “Jack Ryan,” is joining “Landman” as a series regular for Season 3. Per Deadline, Kelly will play William Crockett, described as a titan of industry who leads the largest oil management firm in the world.
Actor James Jordan, who plays Dale on the show, told Decider in late July that production was expected to start on the new season within about a month.
“I get messages on Instagram every day asking about Landman,” Jordan said. “We know that the audience cannot wait. We’re going to get to work on that and try to get it out as soon as we can.”
No official release date has been set. With filming likely to continue into early 2027, Decider estimates the third season won’t reach Paramount+ until mid-to-late 2027.
The first two seasons of “Landman” are currently available to stream on Paramount+, which offers an ad-supported Essential plan for $8.99 a month and an ad-free Premium plan, which includes Showtime titles and live CBS, for $13.99 a month.
