Mallory Edens, a member of the family that owns the Milwaukee Bucks, appears to have responded on social media to comments made by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers about a past relationship.
Edens, 30, and Rodgers were never publicly confirmed to be a couple, but rumors of a relationship circulated in 2023 after an unnamed source said the two were “more than friends” but keeping things “low-key.” The pair had also been seen sitting courtside together at Bucks games in Milwaukee.
On Monday, Edens posted a message on Instagram that seemed aimed at Rodgers after he discussed his dating history during a media appearance.
“My ex is currently on a press tour talking about how he never loved anyone he dated after 2017. Unfortunately for him, I am also on a press tour, for a movie inspired by how down bad I was. Really exciting time for competing narratives!!”
She added that her film, “Charlie Harper,” opens in theaters this Friday.
Rodgers had appeared on the podcast Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, where he talked about meeting his wife.
“I met my wife in 2017. At the time, she was leaving the states and going back to Europe and my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just, like, proposing right there.”
Rodgers did not name Edens directly during his podcast appearance, unlike some other past relationships he has referenced publicly. But the timeframe he described lines up with the period Edens appears to be referring to in her post.
Neither Edens nor Rodgers has confirmed the nature of their past relationship, and it remains unclear whether her post was meant as a pointed response, a plug for her upcoming movie, or both.
