First Lady Melania Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, First Lady Peng Liyuan, for tea in the Red Room of the White House on September 25, wearing an American military-inspired outfit for the occasion.
Mrs. Trump wore an Annabeth Grain de Poudre jacket in Icon Navy from Ralph Lauren, paired with matching flared trousers. The jacket retails for $1,950.
She completed the look with a matching navy leather belt and navy suede Manolo Blahnik stilettos, which retail for $895.
The tea took place as part of Xi’s three-day state visit to Washington, D.C. Afterward, President Trump and President Xi, joined by their wives, traveled to the National Archives, where they viewed historical records related to U.S.-China relations. The rotunda there permanently houses the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution.
