NBC's Today Show to Broadcast Live From Kenmare on October 16

NBC’s “Today” show will broadcast live from Kenmare, County Kerry, for four hours on October 16, in a special built around Ireland’s tourism industry.

The broadcast will originate from Sheen Falls Lodge, a five-star property in the Kerry countryside that opened in 1991. The estate sits on 300 acres and offers falconry, clay-pigeon shooting, horse riding, fishing, tennis and hiking, along with dining at its Stables Brasserie and treatments at the Easanna Wellness and Spa. The Ring of Kerry Golf Club, an 18-hole course with views of Kenmare Bay and the Caha Mountains, is about five miles away.

Today’s hosts making the trip include Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Dylan Dreyer, Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, along with NBC News Chief International Correspondent Keir Simmons.

The special is expected to take viewers around the country, sharing local stories and examining Irish heritage and culture through experiences on the ground, with the possibility of celebrity guests joining along the way.

Separately, actor Andrew Garfield has been discussing his new film “The Uprising,” in which he plays an ordinary man swept into extraordinary events. Set in 1381 during a plague outbreak in England, the film follows a peasant who leads a rebellion against King Richard II. Garfield described the era as a “grim time to be a British peasant,” playing “a nobody” who declares, “None of us should have to live like this anymore.”
