Aaron Rodgers' Brother and Family Visit Acrisure Stadium Amid Reconciliation

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had extra reasons to celebrate last weekend as Pittsburgh beat the Indianapolis Colts 34-22 in Week 5 at Acrisure Stadium. Among the crowd were members of his family, including his brother Luke and Luke’s two children, who came out to support him.

Luke shared photos from the visit on his Instagram account Sunday, showing Rodgers spending time with his niece and nephew both on the field and in a suite inside the stadium.

“Last weekend was pretty special,” Luke wrote in the caption, adding black and gold heart emojis in a nod to the Steelers’ colors.

Rodgers responded in the comments, “Planes, trains and renegade! Also misspelled cakes.”

The photos show Rodgers posing on the field before kickoff as his niece and nephew wore Steelers gear and ponchos, and another image captures him crouched down talking with his niece, who had on a pink jacket over a Steelers jersey. Several videos in the post show the children cheering from the suite and waving Terrible Towels during the game.

Luke and his wife, Aimee, welcomed their third child in August.

A Family Rift Mends

The visit is the latest sign of a reconciliation between Rodgers and his family following a rift that became public in 2016, after his brother Jordan appeared on “The Bachelorette.”

Rodgers surprised fans in July when he shared photos from a family “bonding week.” The renewed relationship does not appear to extend to Jordan, but Rodgers has credited his wife, Brittani, with helping bring him back together with his family.

“She is the big impetus behind that [reconciliation],” Rodgers told The Athletic in August. “Not that she was pushing it, but just the way that she loves me and supports me, it’s allowed me to open up to that possibility. And it’s been a couple-year process of communication and spending time together, but that is a real blessing in my life to have those relationships back and to close that circle that was cut for so many years. With her by my side, we reopened that door, and it’s been really beautiful.”
