The Dallas Cowboys lost Thursday night to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a defeat that came largely on the shoulders of quarterback Dak Prescott’s poor performance.
Prescott led Dallas to a touchdown on the opening drive but struggled for the rest of the game. He finished with 316 passing yards but threw two interceptions, including a pick on a tipped ball in the red zone on the Cowboys’ final possession.
Owner Jerry Jones was seen in his suite looking visibly frustrated after that last interception. Receiver CeeDee Lamb was injured in the second half and played little afterward.
The Cowboys had entered the game as 8.5-point favorites against a Buccaneers team that was winless and playing without quarterback Baker Mayfield. Tampa Bay won anyway, on the road.
After the game, Prescott was confronted by a man believed to be a car service driver who criticized his performance on camera.
“Embarrassing,” the man said off camera. “You heard me.”
Prescott turned and responded: “You said it once I look off, huh?”
The exchange capped off a difficult night for Prescott and the Cowboys, who were expected to win comfortably against a struggling Buccaneers squad.
