Ella Langley Pushes Back on Riley Green's Remarks About Her Success

Country singer Ella Langley appeared to criticize her frequent collaborator Riley Green after comments he made about her career during an appearance on “The Voice.”

Langley and Green have built a strong musical partnership in recent years, most notably with the hit “you look like you love me,” which reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The pair also scored success with “Don’t Mind if I Do.”

According to Country Chord, Green discussed his duet success on “The Voice” and mentioned his role in helping launch Langley’s career. “I’ve had some success with duets. There was a girl that reminded me a lot of y’all. I took her on tour with me; her name’s Ella Langley. She’s doing pretty well,” Green said.

During a subsequent Instagram livestream, a fan asked Langley directly about the moment, referencing what they described as Green “taking credit” for her success. Langley responded candidly.

“Yeah, when that man took credit, no, didn’t love that, but typical. Typical. Pretty typical,” Langley told viewers.

Adding to speculation about tension between the two, Country Chord reported that Langley has unfollowed Green on Instagram. As of this writing, Green still follows Langley on the platform.

Neither artist has issued a formal statement addressing the situation further. It remains unclear whether the comments will affect their future collaborations in the studio.
