A sign held up by a Raiders fan at Allegiant Stadium during Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs drew wide attention online after a photo of it was posted to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
The fan, photographed climbing the stadium stairs, carried a sign featuring images of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his wife, pop star Taylor Swift, with the message: “Scores 6’s on & off The Field.”
The post spread quickly, drawing roughly 75,000 views, 265 likes, 20 reposts and 30 comments within 22 hours.
Reaction online was split. Some users found the sign funny, while others said it missed the mark.
“The hate Taylor Swift gets is unwarranted. It’s the new Nickelback sucks meme,” X user @matt47871 wrote.
“Hilarious even is your not attracted to Swift she’s still a billionaire! Shes a 6 and you have what a 4 at home who makes 50k a year good call,” another user, @althansbucks4E, wrote.
Others pushed back on the focus of the joke entirely.
“There’s a whole football team to roast and we’re grading somebody’s wife? We can do better than that. Maybe direct that energy to your team losing this game,” X user @Stila23 commented.
That comment referenced the outcome on the field, where the Raiders fell to the Chiefs 30-27 at home. Las Vegas quarterback Kirk Cousins tried to engineer a fourth-quarter comeback but was intercepted at the Kansas City 36-yard line by Xavier Nwankpa, sealing the loss.
Kelce, 36, had a quiet afternoon against Las Vegas, catching just two passes for 15 yards, despite a strong season overall and a history of dominating the Raiders.
Kelce and Swift began dating in 2023, after he unsuccessfully tried to give her a friendship bracelet during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, and started seeing each other the following month. The couple married at Madison Square Garden this past July.
