Shane Gillis is back at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The comedian hosts “Saturday Night Live” tonight, Oct. 11, marking his third time in the host chair in four seasons.
Gillis was famously hired and then fired from “SNL” in 2019 after old videos surfaced of him using racial slurs. He later returned to host the show, and tonight’s episode is his third turn behind the Studio 8H podium.
The appearance comes two months after the third season of his Netflix sitcom “Tires” premiered, and ahead of his role in the upcoming “Madden” biopic, set to stream on Prime Video in November.
Ahead of the episode, “SNL” released several promos featuring Gillis alongside cast member Veronika Slowikowska.
Spanish pop star Rosalía will serve as the night’s musical guest, her third appearance on the show after previously performing in 2022.
When and how to watch
Tonight’s episode airs live coast-to-coast at 11:30 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. PT, though New York viewers should be aware that college football coverage could push the start time back, as happened during the season premiere.
For cord-cutters, a live TV streaming service is the way to catch the show for free. DIRECTV offers a five-day free trial, after which subscribers can save $30 on their first month; the Choice plan, which includes NBC among its 125-plus channels, is the recommended option for watching “SNL.”
Peacock also carries the show and offers a seven-day free trial of its Premium tier before billing converts to $16.99 a month. New episodes are available to stream in full on Peacock on Sunday mornings following broadcast.
