TNA's Biggest Night of the Year Lands at Tampa's Yuengling Center Sunday

TNA Wrestling’s premier pay-per-view event of the year, Bound for Glory, comes to the Yuengling Center in Tampa on Sunday, headlined by a world championship match between Leon Slater and Nic Nemeth.

The show starts at 4:30 p.m. ET and will stream on TNA+. Bound for Glory has long served as a showcase for the promotion’s biggest storylines and breakout moments, and this year’s main event carries extra stakes for the 22-year-old Slater.

If Slater beats Nemeth for the TNA World Championship, he would become the youngest world champion in the company’s history. On Thursday night’s episode of “Impact,” Slater addressed Nemeth directly and promised to take the title.

“Nic, let’s get one thing clear – that rule isn’t saving me. That rule is saving you,” Slater said. “Because in a couple of days at Bound for Glory, when I finally get to beat your a— and take that title, you are going to realize exactly why they call me ‘The Youngest In Charge.'”

That exchange came after Director of Authority Santino Marella ruled that neither wrestler could physically confront the other before their match.

Slater’s Path to the Main Event

Slater joined TNA in 2023 and quickly became one of the promotion’s most closely watched talents. He won the X Division Championship in May 2025 and came close to setting the record for the longest X Division title reign before Cedric Alexander ended his run that same month.

Slater reclaimed the X Division title at Slammiversary, defeating Alexander in a Last Man Standing Match held inside a steel cage, but he held it for only a few hours. Later that night, he confronted Nemeth and announced he was cashing in “Option C,” a provision allowing him to exchange his X Division title for a shot at the world championship. That decision set up Sunday’s match in Tampa.

A win would put Slater in the company of past TNA champions including Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Moose and Jeff Hardy.

Nemeth’s Second Reign

Nemeth is currently in his second run as champion, having defeated Mike Santana for the title at Slammiversary. He earned that title shot by winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match, a match that is also part of Sunday’s Bound for Glory card and will again produce a future world title contender.

Fans in the Tampa area and beyond can watch the full event, including the Slater-Nemeth main event, streaming live on TNA+ starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.
