Todd Gurley Joins Trump on Air Force One Ahead of Dalton Rally

Former Georgia Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley flew with President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One on Friday as the president traveled to Dalton for a campaign rally ahead of November’s midterm elections.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Gurley was photographed alongside Trump as the two stepped off the plane at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta.

Gurley rushed for 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns over three seasons at Georgia before being selected 10th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. He went on to make three Pro Bowls and was named the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2017 while playing for the Los Angeles Rams.

He’s not the first Georgia football figure to appear with Trump. Current Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton stood alongside the president at a February rally in Rome, Georgia, where Trump acknowledged him from the stage. Georgia legend Herschel Walker, whom Trump endorsed in his unsuccessful 2022 Senate bid against Democrat Raphael Warnock, later became U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas under Trump.

Friday’s event marked Trump’s third visit to Georgia this year. Republican Senate candidate Mike Collins and gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson also joined the president as the party works to energize voters ahead of the Nov. 3 Election Day.
